A message from our Director
I hope you and your families are healthy and in as good of spirits as possible during this unique and challenging time. On behalf of the entire crew at Pop Up Painters, we want to extend our appreciation to you all for your support and patronage. Being a small business during a worldwide pandemic has proven many challenges, but our versatility and dedication to Celebrate, Create and Connect has kept us going.
We feel strongly that creative arts helps you physically, socially, cognitively and emotionally. If you're anything like me - sitting down and drawing, painting, colouring or writing, calms the mind and soothes the soul. Creative arts allows you to express yourself, leading to feelings of accomplishment and pride. It reduces anxiety and gives you a sense of purpose. How could we let this pandemic stop Pop Up Painters? Well, we didn't.
We tried effortlessly to continue with our philosophies in a time where it felt like the world had stopped. From our Live Facebook and YouTube videos, we eventually branched out of our comfort levels and developed our virtual events. Not to brag or anything, but we feel like we've nailed this!
During the past several months, we have implemented measures so that we could now safely run our in person events again - we missed you guys! We feel more than confident that our Instructors will respect social distancing and adhere to proper material cleaning to keep everyone safe.
At this time, the following measures are just some of the ways we've modified our in person events:
-
instructor and painters all wash/sanitize their hands at the start of the event
-
social distancing of a minimum of 6 feet between the instructor and the painters is maintained when possible (please note that it is the hosts responsibility to arrange seat placement for the painters
-
masks worn at all times when social distancing can't be respected
-
materials are not shared between painters without being double cleaned and sanitized
-
all materials are wiped down, washed twice with soap and then disinfected in between each use
-
materials that can not be disinfected are thrown out
-
**at this time, we do not provide tablecloths or aprons
Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to painting with you very soon - in a safe and healthy manner!
